What is the commercial use limit?

The commercial use limit restricts the number of profiles someone can search for. It’s put in place to prevent people from using the free LinkedIn experience for commercial purposes like sourcing and lead generation.

Why did I reach this limit?

If you’ve reached this limit, your activity on Linkedin is likely geared towards commercial purposes, like hiring or prospecting.

The commercial limit is calculated based on actions ranging from viewing profiles of people who you aren’t connected to, searching outside of your network, and browsing profiles shown in the People Also Viewed section.

I've reached my limit. Now what?

Your limit resets at midnight the first of each calendar month, but until then your search and suggested profile viewing experience will be limited.

So what can you do? Consider upgrading to Premium.

With a LinkedIn Premium account, you’ll receive many benefits including unlimited people-browsing for profiles up to 3rd degree connections so you can connect to the right people faster.
